Borrower's Information

LIBRARY CARDS:
Boyden Library will issue a SAILS card to any
Massachusetts resident. There is no charge for
the first card. Replacement of a lost card is $1.00.

Written proof of residence is required before a
SAILS library card is issued.

A valid card is required to borrow materials,
access the Internet, and to reserve and check
out museum passes.


Loan Periods:
Current (i.e. High Demand) fiction and non-
fiction - 2 weeks
Fiction, non-fiction, all childrens books
- 4 weeks
Magazines - 2 weeks
Audiocassettes and CDs (music and books)
- 2 weeks
DVDs and Videocassettes - 1 week
Rental Books - 1 week
Returnable Museum Passes - 2 days
Puppets, puzzles, curriculum kits - 2 weeks


Fines:
Fines are .5 per day - maximum $1.00
Except for the following:
Museum Passes - $5 per day - $25 max
DVDs and Videos - .50 per day - $5 max
Rental Books - .25 per day - $10 max
eReaders - $10 per day

Renewals:
Patrons may renew items once except on
materials that have holds.



The Library reserves the right to limit the number of items in cases of high demand for some part of the collection.
