Join the Rotary Club of Foxboro and the Boyden Library for a special screening of the acclaimed documentary 2040 (Accessed through the Library's e-resource Kanopy). This event showcases the Rotary’s environmental sustainability initiative, aimed at engaging members and the wider community in practical, hopeful climate action.

Directed by Damon Gameau, 2040 envisions a future where existing solutions to climate change are embraced and scaled. Structured as a visual letter to his young daughter, the film blends documentary storytelling with dramatized sequences and visual effects to illustrate how regenerative practices can reshape our world by the year 2040. It’s a story of optimism, empowerment, and the tangible steps we can take today to build a better tomorrow.

“A dash of eco-optimism to counter global-warming doom and gloom. Gameau is an enormously engaging fact-based dreamer offering a much-needed mindset refresh and proactive actions we can engage in now.”  - Mary Ann Johnson - Fick Filosopher

This screening is the first in a series of events designed to spark conversation and inspire action on environmental issues. Whether you're a long-time advocate or just beginning to explore sustainability, this event offers a welcoming space to learn and connect.
